Travel Tips

What to bring:

Allergy Medicine, Extra Layers for evenings out, comfortable walking shoes, a heavy duty Moisturizer for face and body, Reusable water bottle, and a strong SPF (we are closer to the sun up in Santa Fe). Forget something? CVS or Five and Dime are all walkable. We also provide some “I forgot” supplies like SPF and a facial moisturizer.

While you are here:

Drink loads of water, Hydrating and replenishing with Electrolytes. Higher elevation= thinner air, so prepare by hydrating your body prior to arrival.

Where to fly into:

Santa Fe or Albuquerque. We prefer Santa Fe, but sometimes it’s way more expensive then ABQ, but such less of a headache. ABQ will take a little over an hour from baggage claim to front door. Santa Fe about 30 minutes.

Do I need a car?

Your choice, depends on what you want to do. Uber and Lyft service Santa Fe, but if you want to hike, ski, and want to explore more of the region or city than just downtown, a car is the way to go. However, I lived downtown (in the South Capitol District) and walked everywhere, and I was totally fine!

Living in the Land of Enchantment with my dear husband, teen child, 4 dogs, and 1 cat keeps life interesting at all times. On any given day the dogs have decided to let themselves and the cat out. I adore beauty, food, fashion, finding great deals, Native Art, living, and managing my home. I do not enjoy those moments when I burn rice, can't find the one item I need, or can't get ahold of my kiddo.
