Famous Places/Tourist Must See’s aka Traps: You may visit these at your own discretion?
The Shed. Best thing is the garlic bread.
Tomasita’s: Best thing are the margaritas and salsa.
Be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait. Don’t tell me I didn’t warn you.
Side notes: EEEK, make your own decisions: however, be aware:
Sweetwater Harvest Kitchen: the food is great. However, read the article and decide for yourself if you want to support this business and how it treats its workers. For years, we supported, however do not anymore.
We like Vinagrette, however the owner will not allow you to have a pick up by any outside delivery service? So, unless you have a car, it’s out of the question. Also, since we as a family only dine out in outside spaces or do takeout it’s sad for us to be unable to get the food from here. And it’s a Tip Included Restaurant? Which, when we visited over the years the servers were always a bit out of touch. But, whatever. There are tons of other restaurants that do support our Santa Fe local workers trying to make a living and don’t have a chip.
The Tea House Santa Fe, is super cute. However, we’ve had a horrible experience (including a metal bolt in the mouth, with no apology from wait staff or ownership). So we don’t want to subject you to chipping a tooth and a ton of dental work served with a ton of denial. Sorry- we just can’t.
